FAST-NUCES was established in July 2000 as a federally-chartered university and is widely regarded as Pakistan's premier institution for computer science and software engineering education. The university operates five modern campuses in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Chiniot-Faisalabad, and proudly maintains the highest job placement rate among Pakistani CS graduates — with alumni serving multinational companies across the globe. NUCES's Karachi campus offers BS programmes in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, along with MS and PhD degrees, and the university has internationally recognised research wings. ACM NUCES Karachi is one of the most active student computing chapters in Pakistan, running technical events to a high standard.
